At LAVet Hospital, it is our goal to help our patients stay healthy and happy for as long as possible. For this reason, we focus our attention on wellness and preventative care. It is always better for your pet’s health and more economical for you to prevent complications from progressive disorders, heartworms, parasites, and infectious diseases before they get established. This can be accomplished through regular checkups, vaccinations, and maintaining consistent preventative protection from heartworms, fleas, and ticks.

Our veterinarians will discuss in detail the individualized needs of your pet according to your pet’s breed, age, health condition, activity level, and lifestyle. We recommend routine wellness bloodwork for dogs and cats as well as senior wellness bloodwork for any pet over the age of 7 years. We will give you the information and options you need to make the best decisions for your pet’s health and happiness.
