LAVet Hospital provides hospitalization services for pets requiring medical monitoring, treatment, and supportive care. This may include intravenous (IV) fluid therapy, injectable medications, pain management, diagnostic monitoring, and nursing care as determined by the veterinarian.
Some patients may require overnight hospitalization to continue treatment and recovery. While pets remain safely housed in our hospital overnight, LAVet Hospital is not staffed continuously during overnight hours. Most stable patients can receive the necessary care without constant supervision and do well in this environment with scheduled monitoring and treatment before closing and again when staff return in the morning.
If a patient requires continuous supervision, intensive monitoring, or critical care, we will recommend transfer to a 24-hour emergency or specialty hospital where around-the-clock staffing is available to provide the highest level of care.
Our primary goal is always the safety, comfort, and medical well-being of your pet, and we will discuss hospitalization recommendations with you so you can make the best decision for your pet’s needs.
