Our AAHA Accreditation

LAVet Is Now AAHA Accredited!

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the only organization that accredits nonemergency veterinary hospitals throughout the United States and Canada on a comprehensive list of standards, ranging from pain management and patient care to team training and practice management. Fewer than 5,000 animal hospitals have committed to this voluntary accreditation process, and to maintain this elective accreditation, practices must continue to learn and improve between their evaluations, which take place every three years.

So, what does that mean for you and your pet?

AAHA-accredited practices take an individualized approach to care because they understand that every patient is not only unique, but a valued member of your family. Your pet’s wellbeing is their top priority, and these practices strive to provide each animal with the diagnostics and treatments they need while considering the pet’s comfort and stress at each step. From routine checkups to the most challenging moments of pet ownership, these practices are dedicated to providing you with the information, options, and support you need to ensure your pet has a quality life—and so that you can have peace of mind.

THE WELL-BEING ADVANTAGE

When you choose an AAHA-accredited hospital, like LAVet Hospital, you’re selecting a practice that has made your companion’s wellbeing their central mission. The American Animal Hospital Association’s rigorous accreditation process—undertaken by fewer than 5,000 veterinary hospitals across North America—creates an environment where your pet’s individual needs become the focal point of all care decisions.

This voluntary commitment fundamentally changes how veterinary teams interact with your pet. The comprehensive AAHA standards create a foundation that enables veterinary professionals to transcend basic medical treatment. Instead of simply addressing symptoms, AAHA-accredited teams develop a deeper understanding of each animal’s unique personality, preferences, and health profile.

During visits at LAVet Hospital, your pet receives truly individualized attention where their comfort is prioritized at every step. From the moment they enter the practice, staff members are attentive to signs of stress or anxiety, adapting their approach accordingly. Diagnostic procedures and treatments are conducted with your pet’s emotional wellbeing in mind, not just their physical health.

This patient-centered philosophy extends to your experience as well. AAHA-accredited practices provide comprehensive information, clear options, and compassionate support throughout your pet’s life journey. When difficult decisions arise, you can trust that recommendations reflect a genuine dedication to your pet’s quality of life and your peace of mind.

  • “The staff here is incredible! I called with an emergency for my baby and was immediately given an appointment. When I arrived, they took us straight to the back and examined her right away. The doctor explained everything that needed to be done and worked quickly. After the procedure was finished, I was called to pick her up. The service was exceptional, and the price was surprisingly affordable! I expected it to be expensive and was shocked at the total. I’m definitely switching to this clinic for future care. It’s rare to find such amazing care at such an affordable price! "
